Review by Hans J. Wollstein

Although produced for what looks like pennies by veteran low-budget entrepreneur Sam Katzman and containing the usual murky photography and deplorable sound technique common to independently made thrillers, Kelly of the Secret Service manages to entertain. Robert F. Hill, formerly of grade-Z Westerns, handles the directorial chores with his usual sense of economy and a cast of old hands at this sort of thing keeps the pot boiling merrily. Katzman's Victory Pictures Corp. issued a brief series of Peter B. Kyne stories, of which this entry is by far the most lively, if not quite as "Relentless" and "Fearless" as the original advertising campaign trumpeted.
