Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Sergi López, Emmanuel Vottero, and Xavier Serrano lend their voices to director Aurel’s animated historical drama. Unfolding in the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), it narrates the unlikely friendship that forms between a (fictional) French gendarme and Catalan artist Josep Bartolí. Having fled Franco’s dictatorship, Bartolí survives a French concentration camp with the gendarme’s kindness.
