Nora-Jane Noone, Laura Donnelly, and Jon Kenny headline first-time feature filmmaker Jessie Kirby's desolate chiller set in a bleak future and centering on a mysterious shopkeeper whose freezer always seems well-stocked with a surplus of fresh meat. Ireland is in chaos: the economy has crashed, food prices have skyrocketed, and famine is running rampant. In this climate, meat is worth its weight in gold. Strangely enough, village shopkeeper Mr. Harvey always seems to have an abundance of fresh meat. But how could it be that his store is so well stocked when supplies across the country seem to have long since dried up? Mr. Harvey's niece Rachel has just lost her entire family when she shows up at the shop searching for a place to stay. Later, after becoming smitten with pretty shop-assistant Ellie, Rachel becomes savvy to the dark secret of her uncle's lucrative trade.
