Synopsis by Travis Norris
This documentary takes a look at the American healthcare system, and more specifically at the hospitals. With much of the rising cost in healthcare being blamed on capitalistic pharmaceutical and insurance companies, the hospitals are conveniently ignored in the discussion. Focusing on UPMC, a western Pennsylvania non-profit hospital, director Sandra C. Alvarez shines a light on some questionable business practices.
