Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Indian writer-director Bhaskar (not to be confused with the 1970s exploitation performer of the same name) helms the Bollywood outing In the Name of Love. The film spins two narratively-interconnected stories; one concerns Neelakanta, a rather hot-tempered family patriarch who blows steam following the discovery that his eldest daughter has run out on her wedding and eloped. Furious but unable to act given his uncertainty of the couple's location, he promptly has all of his male friends rounded up and pummelled, in a feeble and desperate attempt to extract information about his daughter's location from them. One of those friends, Krishna, complains vociferously that he has been apprehended despite a complete ignorance of the situation-at-hand. His life turns an irrevocable corner when - upon given a chance to escape - he spots a young woman in the mist and falls helplessly in love with her - little realizing that she is the bride-to-be's younger sister, Meena. While the harried family continues to look for their eldest, Krishna begins to try to persuade Meena to elope with him.
