From Sony Classics comes this 1992 sixteen-part retrospective of legendary Canadian pianist, Glenn Gould. Throughout the programs, interviews with the classical musician are mixed together with footage of his performances, as audiences are given a glimpse into a life that was unexpectedly cut short when Gould passed away in 1982 after suffering a stroke. Glenn Gould Collection, Vol. 11: Ecstasy includes clips of Gould discussing and performing the music of Beethoven, Scriabin, Strauss, Bach, and Casella.
