Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Divided into four chapters - one for each member of the family - director Christian Moris Mueller's segmented drama follows a dysfunctional German family through the course of a typical day. The story gets underway as the Son bids his family farewell and sets out for school. He's got a big exam today, but after meeting up with some buddies he ditches class to visit the local adult arcade and engage in some vigorous booth sex with an older man who refuses to kiss him on the lips. Longing to see his anonymous lover again, the Son later heads back to the arcade to find only disappointment. Meanwhile, Dad hires a hooker, and Mom flirts with the building handyman in search of a kiss. Out in the city, the Daughter rides the subway rails propositioning older men for sex. Later, at dinner, the family gathers around the table, secrets simmering in their heads as the rising tensions in the household reach a boiling point.
