Synopsis by Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
Directed by Igor Sunara, this drama set in Manhattan deals with the struggles of Asian student Julia Chamonix (Ha Phuong) as she attempts to adapt to life as a student in the United States, despite her inability to master the English language and the haunting memories of the car crash that killed her mother. Living a fortunate life with her attentive father (Andrew McCarthy), Julia also enjoys a close relationship with her Vietnamese grandmother (Kieu Chinh), but nothing can save her from the flashbacks of her mother’s death, despite the opportunities in front of her. Music by Milosz Jeziorski.
