Inspired by the tragic true story of Kamikaze pilot Onishi Takijiro, director Kosaku Yamashita's historical drama follows the wartime experiences of the respected admiral who attempted to force America into considering a negotiated peace during World War II. Warfare is raging across the globe, and as a Japanese defeat begins to appear inevitable, conflicted pilot Takijiro hatches a radical strategy to make America reconsider their aggression towards Japan.
