Synopsis by Augustine Chay
This anthology features six short experimental documentaries that were each shot during the COVID-19 pandemic. Helmed and curated by American-Egyptian director Sam Abbas, it features the work of Alexis Zabé (Mexico), Ashley Connor (USA), Antoine Héberlé (France), Soledad Rodríguez (Argentina), and Stefano Falivene (Italy). The films are interspersed with extracts from Friedrich Nietzsche’s “Thus Spoke Zarathustra,” a philosophical novel about a hermit who withdrew from society.
