Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
Following the AIDS-related death of his lover Juan, a grief-stricken Manuel spends a melodramatic night wandering the dubious sex clubs -- both gay and straight -- of Monterrey. He hits the streets after he is involved in a violent altercation at the late Juan's apartment. Manuel had arrived there just as his friend Marcos was about to get slashed with broken glass by a creepy hustler. After rescuing Marcos, Manuel takes the hustler, an ex-con, to his home in the ghetto. Manuel carries with him the gun Juan was saving in case he chose suicide over a natural death. Throughout this violent, dark and stylish feature, objects such as guns and snakes figure as prominent metaphors.
