Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, this comedy stars Jo Koy as Joe, a Filipino-American who attends a family reunion during Easter Sunday, an important holiday for Filipinos. The gathering sparks age-old family issues, such as the longtime feud between his mom Susan (Lydia Gaston) and aunt Theresa (Tia Carrere), as well as his sister Regina’s (Elena Juatco) challenge for him to unite their wacky clan. The homecoming also features a run-in with a law officer, Vanessa (Tiffany Haddish), his old flame. Things appear to go well until one of his cousins’ illegal dealings threatens to ruin the event.
