The US Postal Service receives hundreds of thousands of letters for Santa from children and families all over the country every year. The agency, for over a hundred years now, has run Operation Santa, a project wherein they find these letters’ Santa—individuals and organizations willing to make wishes come true. The documentary film Dear Santa provides an in-depth look at this tradition of giving through the eyes of different Operation Santa centers throughout America. Written and directed by Dana Nachman.
