The episode from the second season of CHiPs involves Ponch and Jon trying to apprehend a group of car stealing joyriders who count Jon's nephew among their members. The final chase involves a stolen movie truck, allowing the bag guys to use a series of special effects in an effort to escape from the California Highway Patrol.
