Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
Imaginative and lonely, Wes (Jacob Tremblay) develops an obsession with Mongolia and starts thinking he was born in the wrong country. His father, Connor (Marton Csokas), believes that he needs help, but his mother, Alise (Vera Farmiga), encourages him. One day, Wes meets Ismail (Suraj Sharma), an aspiring documentary filmmaker, and after one video and a crowdfunding effort, they are on their way to Mongolia to realize the child’s dream and hopefully, find healing. Burn Your Maps, written and directed by Jordan Roberts, is a film adaptation of a short story by Robyn Joy Leff.
