Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Blazing Ninja is just fine in its kung fu scenes, deadly in its expositional sequences. The plot concerns a kung fu master whose prize student becomes his mortal enemy. Philip Cheung and Sony Tanaka play the main characters. Perhaps imagining that he's Jackie Chan or John Sayles, director Godfrey Ho reserves a sizeable supporting role for himself. The cookie-cutter plot of Blazing Ninjas is balanced by a modicum of imagination in the action highlights.
