A pregnant woman abandoned by her film critic husband ponders an uncertain future in director Elise Girard's minimalistic marriage drama. Marie's (Valerie Donzelli) husband Julien (Jeremie Elkaim) is departing on a work assignment when he informs her that he is leaving her for another woman. As Marie enters the second trimester of her pregnancy, she receives some much needed support from her parents, and her sympathetic bosses (Philippe Nahon and Jean-Christophe Bouvet) at a local art-house movie theater. Later, Julien apologizes to Marie, and vows that he's committed to saving their marriage. His motives are brought into question, however, when Marie learns that he has used a work trip as cover for spending two weeks with his lover. Upon his return, Marie feigns ignorance as to his whereabouts while keeping her true intentions a safely-guarded secret.
