A suicidal Southern widower (John Carroll Lynch) goes to stay with his overprotective older sister (Maura Tierney) in Los Angeles. He decides to stay in town but get a place of his own, where he encounters his neighbor, transgender sex worker Freda (Matt Bomer). Despite their differences, the unlikely pair fall in love as they help each other face their trauma, loneliness and unhealthy coping mechanisms. But their clashing lifestyles could threaten their romance’s future. Written and directed by Timothy McNeil, adapted from his play.
