Synopsis by Sandra Bencic

In 1994, mystery writer Anne Perry shocked her fans (and the world) by revealing herself to have been Juliet Hulme, the teenage girl who scandalized 1950s New Zealand by participating in the murder of her best friend's mother (the true-crime story was immortalized in Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures). This documentary finds Perry musing on her infamous past and confronting the guilt that continues to affect her in her adult life.
