This 1973 production of Giuseppe Verdi's seminal opera Aida was mounted at the NHK Hall in Tokyo, and stars heavyweights including Orianna Santunione in the title role, Carlo Bergonzi as Radamès and Fiorenza Cossotto as Amneris. The NHK Symphony Orchestra and the NHK Italian Opera Chorus lend added musical support, with Oliviero de Fabritiis conducting.
