Review by Robert Firsching

Greek filmmaker Maria Gavala's experimental film is really more of a quick course in cinema history than it is a story. The rudimentary plot line concerns a young woman (Yiota Festa) who joins two men (Elias Katevas, Pedro Vicouna) on their travels throughout Greece, slowly insinuating herself between them and turning them against each other. The focus here is all on technique, however, as Gavala's scattershot visual references to filmmakers like John Ford, Roman Polanski, and Alfred Hitchcock take precedence over the fairly uninteresting story developments. The screenplay, by Gavala and Theodoros Soumas, makes interesting use of language, but is more of an academic exercise than a genuine achievement.
