Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Failed by the justice system and forgotten in a patriarchal society, a desperate mother is forced to take matters into her own hands in order to rescue her son from the father who cannot properly care for him. Sharzad is a successful lawyer living in contemporary Tehran. When her marriage to a powerful businessman fails, the courts grant custody of the couple's seven year old son exclusively to the father. But Sharzad's ex-husband is so obsessed with work and a well kept home that he's neglected to notice his son's diabetes is getting worse by the day. Now, for the sake of her son's survival, Sharzad will throw caution to the wind and go above the law.
