A young kidnapping victim must beat his abductor in a game of chess in order to win back his freedom in this unrelenting tale of psychological terror. Badly injured in a bike accident, young Yannick knocks on Jack Beaulieu's door in search of help. But Jack is on a mission to cleanse the world of evil, and now Yannick is the latest victim of his righteous rage. After subjecting his young captive to a brutal beating, however, Jack makes Yannick a tantalizing offer: defeat him in a game of chess, and walk away with his life. As the game gets underway, however, it soon becomes apparent just how twisted Jack truly is. Even if Yannick should win the game, the psychological damage he incurs in the process may leave him damaged beyond the point of repair.
