A Tennessee native who grew up in California, Lark Voorhies is best known for playing shopaholic Lisa Turtle on the classic teen sitcom Saved by the Bell. Voorhies was just 16 when she signed on to play the role that would come to define her career, and she stayed with the show for its entire run. She went on to appear in several films, including 1997's The Last Don, and 2001's How High, as well as several music videos including Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" and Dru Hill's ""These Are the Times."

  • Grew up in Pasadena, CA. One of her first acting gigs was in a national TV ad for Universal Studios Hollywood's King Kong show.  Nabbed a regular TV series role in 1988 as Lisa Turtle on Good Morning, Miss Bliss, which was the forerunner for NBC's Saturday-morning hit Saved by the Bell. She continued to play Lisa until the end of Bell's run on the small screen.     Received two Young Artist Awards, the first in 1990.   Appeared on the daytime dramas Days of Our Lives and Bold and the Beautiful. In 2008 did voice-over work, along with a few of her Saved by the Bell cast mates, for an episode of Robot Chicken.  Wrote the screenplays The Hope for Pandora's Box and Reciprocity.    Owns production company Voorhies Entertainment.
