Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In the final months of World War II, children as young as sixteen were induced into the regular German army to fight. Some were even younger. Such child-soldiers were called "kindersoldaten." This documentary uses stock footage and interviews to help tell the story of two such youngsters whose images were used by the German government for propaganda photographs during the war. They were depicted as being overjoyed to have an opportunity to serve their country and were given military decorations by Hitler himself in his underground bunker. The documentary goes on to show what has become of both men.
