Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

A small Munich neighborhood is a favorite haunt for students, beatniks, and struggling artists and poets. Martin (Werner Enke) is a songwriter of dubious talents, and Henry (Henry van Lyck) is an out-of-work actor of similar ability. After Martin apathetically witnesses a burglary, he falls asleep. The indifferent Martin reports the incident to the police the next day, but ends up becoming a suspect. The boys meet a pretty girl from an upscale neighborhood, and soon she and Martin are hanging out together. The police arrive, wounding Martin when he brashly offends their dead-serious sensibilities. Immovable positions of authority meet head-on with careless youth in this film, the first for director May Spils.
