Jermaine Hopkins, James Parris, and Treach headline this docudrama based on the life of Newark, New Jersey drug-kingpin-turned-community organizer Terrence "Mustafa" Dent. A straight-laced teen tempted into a life of crime by money, Dent quickly established a fierce reputation on the streets as the leader of the notorious Zoo Crew drug ring. Dent's career in dope came to a sudden end, however, when he witnessed a pregnant woman getting gunned down by the police. In the years that followed Dent rallied his community against police brutality, becoming a productive citizen even as his little brother continued to run with the Zoo Crew. When the local police force began focusing their efforts on dismantling the notorious criminal empire, however, Dent quickly discovered that there was no outrunning his criminal past.
