Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A first-time filmmaker takes extraordinary measures to save his ambitious adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet in this irreverent horror comedy. Upon securing funding for a film version of Hamlet set during the Civil War, young director Osric Taylor arrives in a small Louisiana town to commence filming. But everything chances when the cash stops flowing, forcing Taylor to turn to a wealthy southern matriarch for financing. She agrees to give him the money on the sole condition that this version on the classic story will include something that Shakespeare never thought of - zombies. Later, as the cameras start rolling and the brain-eaters start shambling, the film's generous new financier dies unexpectedly. Meanwhile the local sheriff and a tenacious reporter begin to suspect foul play, prompting Taylor on a mad dash to wrap production before anything else goes wrong.
