Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Girlish Vivian Martin stars in this drama, based on the novel by George Weston. Martin is Marty Mackenzie, who was raised by an old farmer after the death of her mother. When he dies, she finds herself in need of money, and along with Fannie Perkins (Mayme Kelso), decides to sell some of the old antiques that he had lying around in the garret. When she opens up an old trunk, Marty finds out that she is really the granddaughter of Mrs. Burgess (Edythe Chapman), a wealthy woman in the neighborhood. Mrs. Burgess is the one who drove Marty's mother from her home. Naturally, the old lady doesn't immediately warm up to the idea of accepting Marty as her kin, although her stepson, Eric (Harrison Ford), takes quite a liking to her. An encounter with a burglar that has broken into the Burgess residence helps to change the grandmother's mind and Marty is able to unite with Eric.
