Four sequences or asanas (poses) are presented after instruction is given regarding proper breathing. The viewer will need to be ready to do two poses from a seated position and a third from a standing position. The fourth asana involves several relaxation poses. This is a good tape for beginners since the routines are fairly easy for anyone who already has a minimal amount of flexibility. Arkin teaches in a very informal manner that quickly puts people at ease so they can concentrate on following her directions. Once this video is mastered, it should be possible to move on to one designed for intermediate yoga students.
