Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This film chronicles one of the ten years filmmaker Fred Meader spent living primitively in the Alaskan wilderness with his wife Elaine. The main staple food they survived on was caribou, and the film chronicles their work during the twice-yearly caribou migrations, and their subsequent work in skinning and dressing out their kills. Even through the Meaders' small hand-held cameras, the amazing beauty of the locale comes through.
