In the second episode of Xena: Warrior Princess' own "Ring Trilogy," Xena (Lucy Lawless) recalls the creation of the powerful Rheingold ring and the "birth" of the Norse monster Grinhilda. Upon finally killing the monster, Xena discovers that she has actually destroyed Grinhilda's son, Grindl, and that her old nemesis is just as dangerously alive as ever. Meanwhile, Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor) grows closer to the enigmatic Brunnhilda (Brittney Powell), who holds a secret that will determine the outcome of this adventure.
