Synopsis by Mark Deming
Crushing any lingering doubts that we truly live in the information age, in October 2004 the World Wrestling Entertainment staged its first-ever "interactive pay-per-view event," in which fans were given the chance to vote online on certain aspects of the fights -- what weapons the opponents would be allowed to use, how losers would be punished, what style of fight would take place, and in some cases which fighters would square off together. WWE: Taboo Tuesday preserves the results on home video and features a championship bout between Triple H and Shawn Michaels, as well as Randy Orton challenging Ric Flair, a tag team battle pitting La Resistance against Benoit & Edge, a steel-chain fight with Kane going up against Gene Snitsky, a "lingerie pillow fight" between Christy Hemme and Carmella DeCesere, and more.
