It was the eighth annual Night of Champions and took place on September 21, 2014, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. This was the first Night of Champions event to livestream on the WWE Network, which launched in February. The theme of the event was that every championship promoted on WWE's main roster at the time was defended.
