This series from the History Channel explores some of the most dangerous and deadly natural disasters of all time, including this episode on some of the most damaging earthquakes in history. Earthquakes have always plagued people of the world with unexpected, unpredictable forces of nature. Many quakes throughout the 20th century have been rated some of the most deadly earthquakes ever. From the 1906 quake that rocked San Francisco to the 1964 tremor that devastated Anchorage, AK. The Anchorage earthquake measured 9.2 on the Richter scale and some survivors from that quake are interviewed about their experiences in living through such a major disaster. There are also looks at more quakes in California, including the 1989 and 1994 earthquakes that each caused severe damage to the state. Experts talk about how technology is paving the way for more advanced earthquake prediction.
