Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) investigates the mysterious death of a shady American businessman in Turks and Caicos following a troubling encounter with a CIA agent (Christopher Walken). When the businessman's financial PR rep (Winona Ryder) fails to offer a lead, Worricker turns to a former girlfriend (Helena Bonham Carter) for help, and discovers the late businessman and his associate have nefarious links to Prime Minister Alex Beasley (Ralph Fiennes).
