Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The World Grappling Games (WGG) are a yearly international contest of submission wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Sponsored by Adidas, Koral, Atama, and several additional American and International corporations, the 2003 WGG events transpired on December 6th and 7th, 2003, in the sunny Orange County community of Costa Mesa, Calfornia - an area that, while conservative, is widely recognized as the home of innumerable bodybuilders and heavyweights. The new video release World Grappling Games 2003 packs thirty-five fights from the titular event - over three hours of spectacular in-the-ring battles - into a single program. The competitors in this release include: Allison Padilla, Kim Marquart, Ryron Gracie, Rebecca Faber, Ulysses Gomez, Leonor Avellan, Erik Apple, and dozens more. The footage enables home viewers to relive the suspense and the visceral, bone-crunching action again and again.
