Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Prospector Mark West (E.K. Lincoln) goes to New York with his invalid sister (Ruth Findlay) and puts her in the care of doctors Hamilton Welsh (John Sainpolis) and Samuel Boyd (Fred Truesdell). The doctors operate on her, even though they know it will probably kill her. She does die, and Mark kills Boyd in a fury. He is tried and sentenced to be put to death. Meanwhile, Alice Ridgeway (June Elvidge) learns that she must marry immediately or lose her inheritance. Unfortunately, her fiancé -- who happens to be Dr. Welsh -- is in Japan, so a judge arranges for her to marry Mark, figuring that he will be executed soon anyhow. But Mark escapes, and when he reaches the West, he corners Alice and Dr. Welsh in a cabin. They are attacked by bandits, and Welsh shows himself to be a coward, while Mark bravely handles the situation. Alice hears about the operation that killed Mark's sister, and she realizes she loves Mark and not Welsh.
