Synopsis by Sarah Ing
As the central figure of Earth's existence, the sun has been the subject of many an exhaustive study. Wonders of the Universe: Home Star presents the amazing and important findings in its half-hour series. Computer graphics and actual solar topography shed light on this most magnificent of stars. From its fiery insides to its active shell, the sun is a den of activity. Photons, sun quakes, and solar winds are explored as well as their effect on Earth. The program concludes with a less than hopeful theory about the inevitable destruction of the sun.
