Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Since this light comedy infers that wives are generally smarter than the men they have married, it's no surprise that the screenplay was written by a woman, Beulah Marie Dix. When the Elliott children come down with scarlet fever, their home is quarantined. Anne (Ethel Clayton) stays with the children while her novelist husband, Nicholas (Elliott Dexter), is forced to live away from home. While he is gone, he becomes infatuated with Esmee Hale (Vera Doria), the artist who is illustrating his latest book. After the quarantine is over, Anne discovers the affair, but takes no action. Elliott makes disastrous investments in an attempt to keep Esmee in the lifestyle to which she is accustomed, while Anne invests her own money wisely. When she suggests that she and Elliott go to the shore and work on a play together, he agrees, but brings Esmee along. Anne deals with this by letting the maid go and then pretending to injure her foot. Esmee is left to do the chores around the house, and like all good vamps, she fails miserably. The fastidious Elliott sends her packing and begs Anne's forgiveness.
