Synopsis by Janiss Garza
On the eve of her wedding, Olive Sherman (June Elvidge) is dumped by her fiancé Tracy Norton (Gaston Glass). Her father has just died, and he was tampering with his company's funds, so Norton doesn't want to be saddled with a girl who has no money and is indirectly involved with a scandal to boot. June goes to work for the company her father swindled and helps put it back in shape. But Norton, who has gotten a bad rap for what he's done to her, causes her to lose her job by starting gossip to save his own reputation. He marries the president's daughter, and Olive leaves town. She takes up with some blackmailers and returns to town determined to ruin Norton. She indeed puts him in a compromising situation, and his wife leaves him. Then, as he has defaulted with the company's funds, he runs away. Meanwhile Olive runs into Jim Waldron (Earle Metcalfe), a newspaperman whom she recognizes as a crook she once gave a helping hand. They fall in love, and in spite of Norton's attempts to ruin their happiness, the pair remain together.
