This episode harks back to Wiseguy's earlier "Sonny Steelgrave" story arc. Undercover agent Vinnie (Ken Wahl) is seriously wounded by Aldo Baglia (Robert Mangiari), a disgruntled former employee of the Steelgrave crime family who is angry that Vinnie got off scot-free after the Steelgraves collapsed. This event leads Roger Lococco (William Russ) to suspect that Vinnie has been planted in the Profitt's operation by the Feds. As for Vinnie's OCB contact McPike (Jonathan Banks), he has plenty of troubles of his own, torn as he is between an alcoholic wife and a vivacious new girlfriend, CIA agent Lillah Warfield (Melanie Chartoff).
