In the conclusion of Wiseguy's fourth-season opener, OCB agent McPike (Jonathan Banks) has arrived in Miami, hoping to locate renegade agent Vinnie Terranova. The trail has led to Amano Guzman, a crooked Cuban-American businessman who may have ordered Vinnie's death. In his efforts to get the goods on Guzman, McPike enters into an uneasy alliance with disbarred federal prosecutor Michael Santana (Steven Bauer), whose father is a longtime Guzman associate. Originally telecast as a single two-hour episode, "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" not only introduces Steven Bauer as the series' new leading man, but also Cecil Hoffman as Hillary Stein and Martika as Dahlia Mendez.
