Synopsis by Mark Deming
A young girl's fantasy life has unexpected impact on the real world in this short subject from filmmaker Ricky Rijneke. Wing is six years old and is living in the Netherlands with her family, who are expatriates from China. When Wing learns that her grandmother will be returning home, her imagination begins to kick into high gear, and her daydreams about talking fish and menacing silent women begin to seem uncomfortably real. Wing was screened in competition at the 2007 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
