Writer and director Pius Morgen has put together a combination of documentary and fiction in a filmic collage of parliamentary meetings, urbanites in Zurich, and then a kidnapping, court trial, the music of "Don Giovanni," and scenes of garbage disposal. Swiss citizens might recognize their ambience in this film, but viewers unfamiliar with Swiss politics and culture may find the metaphors and allusions about as clear as reading tea leaves.
