Synopsis by Hal Erickson
At first glance, the title of this British children's show would indicate that the series had something to do with music ("Wild tracks," get it?). Actually, the program was more along the lines of Wild Kingdom or Animal World, with host Tony Soper (and later Mike Jordan) journeying in and around the British isles in search of colorful animal species. Some episodes posted "progress reports," indicating which animals had been placed on the "endangered" list, and advising youthful viewers as to how best protect the environment. Wildtrack was originally broadcast from 1979 to 1984.
