Synopsis by Hal Erickson
An update of the popular audience-participation show which aired over Nickelodeon from 1990-1992, Wild & Crazy Kids pretty much followed the format of the original. A group of kid contestants, protectively padded from neck to ankle, were afforded the opportunity to perform zany stunts -- usually with their parents as the recipients of "ooze," "slime," or other nasty-looking but harmless substances. The individual episodes were taped at various beaches and theme parks throughout the U.S., with three competitions per program. An added flip for the "new" version was the presence of celebrity youngsters, drawn from TV series and movies. Hosted by Mati Morajelo, the revised Wild & Crazy Kids premiered July 29, 2002.
