Wenn der Richtige Kommt (When the Right Man Comes Along) is the feature film directorial debut from the team of Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand. Paula (Isolde Fischer) works as a cleaning woman and enjoys spending her breaks with colleague Ayten (Tulay Gonen) until an attractive male security guard is hired. Mustafa (Can Sengul) ignores Paula until she finds him at his usual hangout, where the locals embarrass her. Out of guilt, he buys her a gift. Mustafa fails to show up for work one day and Paula learns that he's arranged for to return to his native Turkey. Paula's friend (Helga Grimme) convinces Paula to go find him. She arrives without resources or any real clue as to how to locate Mustafa. She finds herself in a scary predicament until a hotel worker (Arcan Arican) provides much needed support. When the Right Man Comes Along won favorable notices from the judges at the 2003 San Sebastian Film Festival.
