This standard melodrama about undying love is directed by Heinosuke Gosho and is adapted by Toshio Yasumi from a popular novel. The heroine, Kiyo Mizushima (Ineko Arima), falls in love while she is only a teenager with a married journalist who is at least twice her age. Unlike other teens, Kiyo's love does not deteriorate or vanish with the next new face on the horizon but lasts long enough for her to grow up and out of the initial stages of infatuation. All told, her experiences require an ample supply of handkerchiefs.
