Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Sometime serial queen Grace Darmond stars in this rather predictable drama. Apparently, "what every woman wants" is nice clothes, because that's what office worker Gloria Graham (Darmond) lusts after. Using the excuse that a woman must dress well to progress in business, Gloria runs herself into debt. She's about to be saved from her financial woes by marrying her sweetheart, but the World War breaks out and he goes off to fight. Back home, her employer offers her his charge account so she can buy whatever she wants. Because he fulfills her desire for nice things, she marries him when her sweetheart is reported missing. But the marriage isn't a happy one, and soon Gloria is being neglected in favor of one of her husband's former mistresses. It turns out that Gloria's former boyfriend was a prisoner of war, and he is released by the Germans to return home. A maid accidentally shoots and kills Gloria's husband. Gloria is put on trial for the crime, but the truth comes out and she is released. She and her sweetheart are reunited.
